“Go to the poor: you will find God.”

Mission Statement

Inspired by gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person to person service to those who are in need and suffering.

Meetings

The local group meets on the 4th Thursday of the month in the Parish Center @ 6:00 p.m. for about an hour.

Members of St. Vincent de Paul Society listen with compassion to Jackson Countians who call the Helpline for assistance with basic needs, such as food, shelter, and heat.

Our volunteers seek solutions by working in cooperation with many county organizations, such as pantries, homeless shelters, churches and trustees. Together with others, St. Vincent's offers recommendations and monetary support to our Jackson County neighbors who reach out for help.

A special St. Vincent de Paul project provides new shoes for area elementary school children, working with teachers and counselors to identify those in need.
